San Francisco, California, United States Baton (A Ryder Technology Lab) Full time
Job OverviewCompany Background

Baton, a pioneering technology innovation lab within Ryder, is on the lookout for driven professionals who thrive in a dynamic startup atmosphere, supported by the robust infrastructure of a leading logistics enterprise.

As part of Ryder, which boasts a fleet of 260,000 trucks and oversees $7.4 billion in freight, Baton is committed to revolutionizing the logistics sector.

Before its acquisition in September 2022, Baton operated as a venture-backed startup, gaining firsthand insights into the industry's challenges by engaging directly with truck drivers.

Our Mission

We aim to eradicate inefficiencies in the supply chain by developing a digital platform that optimizes freight management and minimizes waste.

With an estimated 500 million hours lost annually in trucking, alongside over 3 billion gallons of fuel wasted due to idling, and 20% of trucks on the road running empty, our work has significant implications for the environment, drivers' livelihoods, and consumer costs. At Baton, you will play a crucial role in addressing these challenges through impactful initiatives.
