Job Overview

Position Summary:

The On-Premise Territory Sales Executive will oversee field-level execution within assigned accounts, delivering excellence and providing expertise in channel management. This role involves managing resources, including point-of-sale materials and local budgets, while supporting consumer events to enhance brand visibility for the Mast-Jägermeister US portfolio in on-premise locations. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for delivering brand education to accounts. The Territory Sales Executive will proactively manage distributor partnerships, engage in planning and programming, and resolve challenges related to the Mast-Jägermeister US brand portfolio.

This position requires significant market presence, with approximately 80-95% of time spent in the field (averaging five days per week, with two administrative days each month). Preferred candidates should reside in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Laurel, or Bowie.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Market Execution

  • Develop local commercial strategies to enhance brand execution and market presence, ensuring appropriate distribution of Mast-Jägermeister brands by type and size, merchandising initiatives, shelf management, and promotional activities.
  • Achieve outstanding retail execution in key accounts.
  • Drive the growth of Jägermeister and Teremana brands in alignment with channel and brand standards, ensuring best-in-class execution.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers within the territory.
  • Understand pricing, profitability, and brand economics at the account level.

Maintain Strong Relationships with Accounts

  • Strategically increase sales volume in designated market areas.
  • Identify key accounts, opinion leaders, and influencers within the channel.
  • Conduct staff training sessions and tastings at accounts.
  • Leverage local trends to inspire future programming initiatives.
  • Implement Jägermeister brand standards focused on delivering the perfect ice-cold shot in accounts.
  • Adapt drink strategies to meet account needs while building menus and features.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Utilize analytical tools to assess return on investment and gain insights into business performance (e.g., effectiveness of major events, consumer development activities, key account resource allocation, and point-of-sale effectiveness).
  • Monitor and track point-of-sale metrics.

Distributor Collaboration

  • Lead by example and motivate the local distributor network to execute brand and channel priorities effectively.
  • Manage relationships with local distributors at the account level.
  • Act as the brand ambassador, promoting and educating consumers, accounts, and distributors about the history and production of the Mast-Jägermeister US brand portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the spirits or beverage industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a college degree is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proven track record in developing account strategies and executing them to achieve results.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt the Jägermeister sales approach.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required; must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel between accounts.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
