Job Overview

Position Summary:

The On-Premise Territory Sales Executive will oversee field-level operations with a focus on excellence and provide specialized channel knowledge. This role involves managing resources effectively and supporting consumer events to enhance brand visibility for the MJUS portfolio in the on-premise sector. Strong communication and persuasive skills are essential, along with the ability to deliver brand education to various accounts. The On-Premise Territory Sales Executive will proactively manage distributor partnerships, strategize programming, and address challenges related to the MJUS brand portfolio.

This position requires a significant presence in the market, averaging 80 – 95% of the time (5 days a week in the field, with 2 administrative days per month). Ideal candidates should reside in Maryland, Ex. Columbia, Laurel, or Bowie.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Market Execution

  • Develop local commercial strategies to enhance brand execution and market presence, including appropriate distribution of MJUS brands, merchandising initiatives, shelf management, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure outstanding retail execution is achieved in key accounts.
  • Grow the Jägermeister and Teremana brands in alignment with channel and brand standards through exemplary execution.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers within the territory.
  • Understand pricing, profitability, and brand economics at the account level.

Relationship Management with Accounts

  • Strategically increase sales volume in designated market areas.
  • Identify key accounts, opinion leaders, and influencers within the channel.
  • Conduct training sessions and tastings at accounts.
  • Leverage local trends to inspire future programming.
  • Implement Jägermeister brand standards focused on delivering the perfect ice-cold shot in accounts.
  • Adapt drink strategies to meet account needs while building menus and features.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Utilize analytical tools to assess ROI and gain insights into business performance (e.g., effectiveness of major events, consumer engagement activities, resource allocation, and POS effectiveness).
  • Monitor and track Point-Of-Sale metrics.

Distributor Collaboration

  • Lead by example and motivate the local distributor network to prioritize commercial brand and channel objectives.
  • Manage relationships with local distributors at the account level.
  • Act as the brand ambassador, promoting and educating consumers, accounts, and distributors about the MJUS Brand Portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 1–5 years of experience in Sales, preferably within the spirits or beverage sector, or a relevant combination of education and experience; a college degree is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proven track record in developing account strategies and executing them to achieve results.
  • Willingness to embrace the Jägermeister sales approach.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and organized; adept at time management and capable of supporting multiple projects.
  • Well-developed influence and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required; a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel between accounts are necessary.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
