Position Overview

This role is designed for a fully remote work environment, ideally suited for candidates located in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Role Responsibilities

The On-Premise Channel Manager will oversee the execution of strategic initiatives within the on-premise sector across the Mid-Atlantic area. This position is pivotal in assessing, implementing, and executing programs aligned with our brand strategies while leading, training, and managing local distributor sales teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage daily operations of distributors, ensuring compliance with brand policies and achieving distribution goals.
  • Conduct training for distributor sales teams, monitor competitive market activities, and evaluate distributor performance against strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Market Manager as a direct report.
  • Engage with key on-premise accounts to cultivate strong professional relationships.
  • Promote our brands to drive volume growth and assist distributors in meeting their objectives.
  • Maintain a visible presence at distributor offices, collaborating with sales representatives and management to enhance brand awareness.
  • Align with local events and participate strategically, including the execution of national initiatives within the local market.
  • Serve as the primary contact for distributor sales teams, ensuring they are informed of local and national objectives and providing support for sales activities.
  • Conduct product seminars at accounts and with distributor sales teams.
  • Provide updates on National Account Mandate compliance as required.
  • Stay updated on customer and consumer trends.
  • Maintain a calendar of activities and promotions, ensuring effective communication with distributors and third-party agencies.
  • Submit monthly market activity reports to the supervisor, detailing objectives, achievements, competitive activity, special projects, and specific needs.
  • Deliver market and competitive brand updates to the supervisor, including timely communication of changes in field conditions that may impact volumes and staffing at distributors and competitors.
  • Review program effectiveness and execution updates with distributor management.
  • Provide feedback on the success of marketing and sales initiatives, including programs, POS, advertising, etc.
  • Assist with special projects such as verifying pricing and distribution at on-premise accounts as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the distilled spirits or wine supplier industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in data gathering and presentation.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including strategies, product demonstrations, and sales control systems.
  • Effective managerial and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Focus on Management and/or Marketing.
  • Advanced computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle objects, and utilize a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

The expected compensation range for this role is between $80,000-90,000. Actual starting pay may vary based on non-discriminatory factors including geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
