Job Overview

Position Summary:

The On-Premise Territory Sales Executive will oversee in-field account management with a focus on excellence and provide channel expertise. This role involves managing resources effectively, including Point of Sale materials and local budgets, while supporting consumer events to enhance brand visibility for the Mast-Jägermeister US portfolio in on-premise settings. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for delivering brand education to accounts. The Territory Sales Executive will proactively manage distributor partnerships, along with planning and problem-solving related to the Mast-Jägermeister US brand portfolio.

This position requires significant market presence, averaging 80 – 95% of the time spent in the field. Preferred residency includes Maryland, the District of Columbia, Laurel, or Bowie.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Market Execution

  • Develop local commercial strategies to enhance brand execution and perception in the market, ensuring proper distribution of Mast-Jägermeister brands by type and size, merchandising initiatives, shelf management, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure exceptional retail execution is achieved in key accounts.
  • Drive the growth of Jägermeister and Teremana brands in alignment with channel and brand standards, focusing on best-in-class execution.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers within the territory.
  • Understand pricing, profitability, and brand economics at the account level.

Relationship Management with Accounts

  • Strategically increase sales volume in designated market areas.
  • Identify key accounts, opinion leaders, and influencers within the channel to develop occasion strategies.
  • Conduct staff training sessions and tastings at accounts.
  • Leverage local trends to inspire future programming initiatives.
  • Implement Jägermeister brand standards focused on delivering the perfect ice-cold shot in accounts.
  • Adapt drink strategies to meet account needs while building menus and features.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Utilize analytical tools to assess ROI and understand business performance, including the effectiveness of major events and consumer engagement activities.
  • Monitor and track Point-Of-Sale performance.

Distributor Collaboration

  • Lead by example and motivate the local distributor network to execute brand and channel priorities.
  • Manage relationships with local distributors at the account level.
  • Act as the brand ambassador, promoting and educating on the history and production of the Mast-Jägermeister US portfolio to consumers, accounts, and distributors.

Qualifications:

  • 1–5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the spirits or beverage sector, or a related combination of education and experience; a college degree is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proven track record in developing account strategies and executing them to achieve results.
  • Willingness to embrace the Jägermeister sales approach.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required; a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel between accounts are necessary.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
