Position Summary:
The On-Premise Territory Sales Executive will oversee field-level execution within accounts, ensuring excellence and providing channel expertise. This role involves managing resources such as Point of Sale materials and local budgets, supporting consumer events, and enhancing brand visibility for the Mast-Jägermeister portfolio in the on-premise sector. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to deliver brand education effectively to accounts. The Territory Sales Executive will proactively manage distributor partnerships, engage in planning and programming, and solve problems related to the Mast-Jägermeister brand portfolio.
This position requires significant market presence, averaging 80-95% of the time spent in the field. Preferred residency is in Maryland or the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Market Execution
- Develop local commercial strategies to enhance brand execution and market image, including appropriate distribution of Mast-Jägermeister products, merchandising initiatives, shelf management, and promotional activities.
- Ensure exceptional retail execution in key accounts.
- Grow the Jägermeister and Teremana brands in alignment with channel and brand standards, achieving best-in-class execution.
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers within the territory.
- Understand pricing, profitability, and brand economics at the account level.
Relationship Management
- Strategically increase sales volume in designated market areas.
- Identify key accounts, opinion leaders, and influencers within the channel.
- Conduct staff training sessions and tastings at accounts.
- Leverage local trends to inspire future programming.
- Implement Jägermeister brand standards focused on delivering the perfect ice-cold shot.
- Adapt drink strategies to meet account needs while building menus and features.
Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize analytical tools to assess ROI and understand business performance, including the effectiveness of major events and consumer engagement activities.
- Monitor and track Point-Of-Sale performance.
Distributor Collaboration
- Lead by example and motivate the local distributor network to execute brand and channel priorities.
- Maintain relationships with local distributors at the account level.
- Act as the brand ambassador, promoting and educating stakeholders about the history and production of the Mast-Jägermeister portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the spirits or beverage industry, or a related educational background; a college degree is preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven success in developing account strategies and executing them to achieve results.
- Willingness to learn and adopt the Jägermeister sales approach.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
- Frequent travel within the territory is required; a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel are necessary.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
