Responsibilities of the Community Engagement Manager:

  • Lead and manage the property team in daily community operations, ensuring an engaging and motivating atmosphere.
  • Develop maintenance and team schedules, holding team members accountable for their performance and engagement.
  • Provide effective coaching to the team, fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
  • Oversee budget management, accounts, rent collections, and tenant communications; utilize software for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review applications, conduct background and credit checks, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Handle administrative duties, including file audits for compliance and tax filing.
  • Report escalated issues to the Asset Director.
  • Prepare client reports for Asset Director review, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected for regular meetings.
  • Communicate variances, concerns, and positive impacts in property operations effectively and promptly, adopting a solution-oriented approach.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding compliance documentation for new leases and resident recertification.
  • Welcome residents, applicants, and visitors courteously and respectfully.
  • Address and resolve residents' inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulations while enhancing curb appeal and amenities.
  • Investigate complaints and mediate conflicts.
  • Secure the property and implement safety measures; respond to emergencies and complete necessary documentation.
  • Ensure all work-related activities are conducted in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bring a high level of energy and a positive attitude to contribute to a vibrant atmosphere.
  • Utilize financial skills to manage property budgets, accounts, and rent collections effectively.
  • Present a professional image that supports strong leadership.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, drawing from relevant experience in property management or hospitality.
  • Minimum of 2 years of multi-family leasing management experience required, with additional leasing experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional time management abilities.
  • Excellent scheduling and prioritization skills to coordinate work with vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to support property team members professionally in daily operations.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); experience with Property Management Software is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Background and credit checks, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification are required.
