Responsibilities of the Community Engagement Manager:
- Lead and manage the community team in daily operations, fostering an engaging and motivating atmosphere.
- Develop maintenance and team schedules, ensuring accountability for performance and team involvement.
- Coach and mentor team members to cultivate an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
- Oversee budget management, account handling, rent collections, and tenant communications; effectively utilize software for accuracy and timeliness.
- Review applications, background checks, and credit assessments to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct administrative tasks, including file audits for compliance and tax filing.
- Report escalated issues to the Asset Director as necessary.
- Prepare client reports for Asset Director review, ensuring all supporting documentation is ready for client meetings.
- Communicate variances, concerns, and positive impacts on property operations in a timely manner, adopting a solution-oriented approach.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding lease compliance and resident recertification.
- Greet residents and applicants with courtesy and respect.
- Address and resolve resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly.
- Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while enhancing curb appeal and amenities.
- Investigate complaints and mediate conflicts effectively.
- Secure the property and implement safety measures; respond to emergencies and complete necessary documentation.
- Ensure all work-related activities are conducted fairly, ethically, and consistently.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bring a high level of energy and a positive attitude to contribute to a vibrant atmosphere.
- Utilize financial skills to manage property budgets, accounts, and rent collections effectively.
- Present a professional image that supports strong leadership qualities.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, with experience in property management or hospitality.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-family leasing management, with several years in leasing roles.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a focus on time management.
- Excellent scheduling and prioritization abilities to coordinate work with vendors and contractors.
- Ability to support and assist property team members in daily operations professionally.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and property management software.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification are required.
