Responsibilities of the Community Engagement Manager:

  • Lead and manage the community team in daily operations, fostering an engaging and motivating atmosphere.
  • Develop maintenance and team schedules, ensuring accountability for performance and team engagement.
  • Coach and guide the team to cultivate an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome.
  • Oversee budget management, accounts, rent collections, and tenant communications; utilize software for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review applications, background checks, and credit assessments to ensure compliance with processes.
  • Conduct administrative tasks, including file audits for compliance and tax filing.
  • Report escalated issues to the Asset Director.
  • Prepare client reports for Asset Director review, ensuring all documentation is ready for client meetings.
  • Communicate any variances, concerns, and positive impacts on property operations, adopting a solution-oriented approach.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures for compliance regarding new leases and resident recertification.
  • Greet residents and applicants with courtesy and respect.
  • Address and resolve residents' inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations while enhancing curb appeal.
  • Investigate complaints and mediate conflicts.
  • Secure the property and implement safety measures; respond to emergencies and complete necessary documentation.
  • Ensure all work-related activities are conducted fairly, ethically, and consistently.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • High energy and a positive attitude to contribute to a vibrant atmosphere
  • Financial acumen to manage property budgets, accounts, and rent collections
  • Professional demeanor that supports strong leadership
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills from relevant experience in property management or hospitality
  • Minimum of 2 years in multi-family leasing management with extensive leasing experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional time management abilities
  • Proficient scheduling and prioritization skills for coordinating with vendors and contractors on property projects
  • Ability to effectively support and assist property team members in daily operations
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and property management software
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required
  • Background and credit checks, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification are mandatory
