Overview: The primary role of the Business Analyst is to generate and analyze financial data to assist in strategic decision-making. This position is accountable for the preparation of financial statements and various reports that comply with regulatory requirements. The analyst will ensure accuracy and promptness in all tasks while providing expertise to support various business units within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate financial reports, including statements, to facilitate management decision-making and perform analyses for regulatory filings.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and resolve accounting issues in alignment with company policies.
3. Investigate significant variances in financial results, identify underlying causes, and recommend corrective actions.
4. Prepare schedules for regulatory cases and assist in the development of testimony for hearings.
5. Enhance efficiency by automating accounting processes and coordinating information requirements.
6. Compile and analyze financial data for federal reporting as necessary.
7. Review regulatory transactions for accuracy in financial statements and ensure proper recording.
8. Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations for assigned accounts.
9. Uphold compliance with internal controls, identify deficiencies, and suggest improvements.
10. Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and regulations.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills: Proficient technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment:
Standard office environment with no special physical demands required.

Compensation:
Annual Salary: $76,200 (Min) to $89,600 (Mid); Short Term Incentive Plan available at the company's discretion.
