About the Role

The Lieber Institute for Brain Development is seeking a highly skilled Grants Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our research administration team, you will be responsible for managing the entire grant process from development to submission and post-award stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit grant applications in accordance with LIBD and sponsor timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all sponsor regulations and communicate with the PI during application preparation.
  • Organize grant review committee meetings and maintain the Grants SOP.
  • Review applications to appraise programmatic and operational needs.
  • Prepare final award paperwork post-award, including final budget setup and operations timelines.
  • Manage fiscal and programmatic compliance post-award and work closely with Project Management and Finance.
  • Act as primary liaison between PI's, sub-recipients, collaborators, and funding agencies.
  • Optimize and maintain a LIBD grants portfolio electronically using MS Access and SharePoint.
  • Maintain active NIH ORI and SAM account certifications.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures necessary for grants administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences, public health, non-profit management, or business management.
  • Experience directly preparing, submitting, and administering grants, with NIH grant management experience required.
