Key Responsibilities

Proposal Management

  • Act as the project manager for the preparation and submission of proposals for all federal, state, and city funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to develop effective systems for submitting high-quality grant proposals.
  • Work with Finance and relevant departments to create and review budgets for proposals.
  • Maintain standard organizational documents for inclusion in applications as needed.
  • Assist in creating templates for logic models, letters of support, and other required documents.
  • Complete necessary government forms and certifications.

Identifying New Funding Opportunities

  • Collaborate with program staff to identify funding priorities and develop concept notes and proposals that align with these priorities.
  • Research funding opportunities from federal and state agencies, assessing alignment with Global Refuge's mission.
  • Serve as the primary contact for local networking initiatives.
  • Train field office staff on prospecting and networking strategies.
  • Manage public funding goals for each field office.

Grant Reporting

  • Work with program staff to develop and submit programmatic reports as required.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports through relevant portals.

Recordkeeping

  • Oversee the accuracy of grant-related records in collaboration with the Grants Coordinator.
  • Maintain electronic copies of grant awards and proposals.
  • Meet metrics set by Development Department leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in proposal writing.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in development and federal grant management.
  • Familiarity with data management systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
