Job Overview

As we advance with the growth and enhancement of both the Storage and PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings) Segment within Cornerstone Building Brands, the Strategic Account Executive will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution. Upholding our leading market position, improving our profit margins, and streamlining operations within these Segments will contribute to enhanced financial outcomes over the upcoming years.

Scope of Work:

  • Oversees a portfolio of 30 to 50 Accounts within the designated Segment
  • Accountable for $30M-$60M+ with targets to increase revenue and profitability

Key Responsibilities:

The Strategic Account Executive role is tasked with formulating strategic plans for all portfolio accounts to align with corporate objectives. This includes conducting thorough analyses of all facets of account performance, such as Gross Margin, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Total Cost to Serve, Freight, Order Automation, SKU Rationalization, and Share of Wallet. The execution of these strategic sales plans will align with the goals of Cornerstone Building Brands and foster both revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with cross-functional leaders will be essential for driving a cohesive go-to-market strategy for all products and service offerings.

Essential Functions:

  • Formulates annual sales strategy in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Directs the execution of sales strategies and initiatives
  • Implements account management methodologies to enhance profitability
  • Ensures coordinated communications that support sales objectives and adhere to organizational budgetary requirements in collaboration with marketing
  • Establishes strategies to achieve year-over-year revenue and margin growth within the portfolio of Accounts
  • Creates value propositions and differentiation to ensure sustainable growth within the portfolio of Accounts
  • Advises on sales strategies for enhancement based on market research and competitive analysis
  • Capable of leading integration initiatives to support an aggressive mergers and acquisitions strategy
  • Fosters a sales culture where exceptional customer service is the norm
  • Operates effectively as an individual contributor while positively influencing peers and colleagues through leadership across the organization
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is required
  • A minimum of 10 years in sales leadership or strategic account management is required
  • Strong knowledge and experience in technical product sales; equivalent experience in a similar industry or product area is preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization
  • Ability to persuade leadership to embrace new ideas, products, and approaches
  • Proven history of guiding teams to execute strategies and achieve outstanding results
  • Remote work capability is acceptable with regular travel expected to support business needs
