In this pivotal role, you will oversee and serve as the primary liaison for strategic accounts within a designated district, region, or cluster of branches. As the main point of contact for our most important clients, you will utilize your sales expertise to thoroughly comprehend and anticipate the requirements of these key customers, addressing their needs with professionalism and efficiency. Your strategic insight will not only foster our growth but also propel your career forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing strategic accounts and their affiliated companies in your area, serving as the primary contact for your clients.
- Conduct and present formal business reviews to decision-makers and senior sales executives of strategic account companies.
- Identify and pursue large project opportunities involving strategic account customers; refer leads to branch sales representatives.
- Seek and qualify new strategic accounts from current branch accounts, inactive or non-customer accounts, including those of competitors.
- Leverage Sales and other CRM tools to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate closely with Outside Sales Representatives and National Account Managers to drive revenue for national accounts and branches, in addition to your assigned strategic accounts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Over 5 years of sales experience, ideally in branch or sales management, with substantial account management experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and research abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and a strong drive to succeed, even in the face of challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at utilizing technology tools to boost performance efficiency.
- Familiarity with sales data tools such as FW Dodge.
This position is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies and procedures.
