Business Development Director

NextEra Energy is seeking a Director-Level Marketer to lead sales efforts for physical Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to oil and gas exploration and production companies in key markets. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to market and sell LNG, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and leveraging industry knowledge to grow market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to market and sell LNG to upstream companies.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the oil and gas sectors.
- Leverage industry knowledge and contacts to grow the market presence of NextEra Energy Marketing in the LNG space.
- Work closely with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and delivery of LNG products.
- Function as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on commercial objectives.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of commercial experience at an energy marketing firm, with a strong focus on natural gas (LNG, CNG, RNG), propane, or diesel/fuel oil.
- Demonstrated success in LNG marketing and a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of the energy industry.
- Additional experience in gas-fired equipment marketing will be advantageous.
- A robust network of engineering and supply chain contacts within the oil and gas industry, which will allow the candidate to drive business quickly upon starting.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Location: The role will be based in Midland, TX.
