NextEra Energy is seeking a highly skilled Director, Business Development to lead the sales efforts for physical Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to oil and gas exploration and production companies in key markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategies to market and sell LNG to upstream companies (exploration and production firms).
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, specifically in the oil and gas sectors across TX, NM, and OK.
- Leverage industry knowledge and contacts to grow the market presence of NextEra Energy Marketing in the LNG space.
- Work closely with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and delivery of LNG products.
- Function as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on commercial objectives.
- 10+ years of commercial experience at an energy marketing firm, with a strong focus on natural gas (LNG, CNG, RNG), propane, or diesel/fuel oil.
- Demonstrated success in LNG marketing and a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of the energy industry.
- Additional experience in gas-fired equipment marketing (such as rental generators, dual fuel pressure pumps, or drilling rigs) will be advantageous.
- A robust network of engineering and supply chain contacts within the oil and gas industry, which will allow the candidate to drive business quickly upon starting.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
