The Manager of Business Development will oversee business-to-business sales of commercial card solutions and supplier payment services for our largest and most strategic clients within the Global Commercial Services (GCS) division. The role encompasses a broad territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new sales opportunities from prospective clients with annual revenues exceeding $300 million.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders across various segments to implement comprehensive payment solutions.
  • Drive strategic sales initiatives while ensuring compliance with internal business standards.
  • Formulate and execute a growth strategy, adjusting plans as necessary to meet operational needs.
  • Meet and exceed sales volume targets.
  • Manage the sales cycle effectively.
  • Promote core American Express solutions and supplier payment options.
  • Dedicate time to identifying opportunities and managing the setup and issuance of cards to achieve booked charge volume.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills to translate concepts into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience in Fintech and/or B2B sales, particularly with Fortune 1000 companies.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of the payments industry and its complexities across global markets.
  • Expertise in consultative selling techniques related to procurement and finance.
  • Extensive experience in strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Strong financial literacy.
  • Ability to leverage leads and proactively engage with prospects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and project management capabilities.
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
