The Manager of Business Development will oversee the sales of commercial card solutions and supplier payment services for our largest and most significant clients within the Global Commercial Services (GCS) division. The designated regions include specific areas in the central and western parts of the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business from potential clients with annual revenues exceeding $300 million in primary and secondary markets.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders across various segments to implement comprehensive payment solutions.
  • Direct strategic sales efforts in accordance with compliance and internal business requirements.
  • Formulate and execute a growth strategy, adjusting plans and priorities to meet operational needs.
  • Meet Sales Charge Volume Targets.
  • Navigate a transactional sales process.
  • Promote core and supplier payment solutions offered by American Express.
  • Dedicate substantial time to identifying opportunities, ensuring setup and card issuance, and managing agreements to achieve booked charge volume.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical capabilities to translate concepts into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated success in Fintech and/or B2B sales negotiations, leadership, and closing deals with Fortune 1000 companies.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • In-depth understanding of the complexities and opportunities within the payments industry across various global markets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of effective consultative selling techniques related to procurement, treasury, and finance concerning supplier payments.
  • Extensive experience in complex sales planning and execution.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Ability to leverage lead sources to identify opportunities and proactively schedule meetings with prospects.
  • Proficient in utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance for products and services.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation abilities, capable of influencing senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership qualities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually, plus sales incentives and benefits.
