We are seeking a highly skilled marketing technology specialist to enhance our CRM Technology division, focusing on the creation of robust solutions for various CRM marketing communication channels, including Email, SMS, Push notifications, and Content Cards.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with both the CRM Technology and Marketing teams to innovate and refine personalization features and components aimed at boosting channel effectiveness and enriching customer interactions. Your expertise will guide critical architectural decisions that shape our marketing strategies.

You will face substantial development challenges, such as crafting new iterations of essential components within our codebase and optimizing our CRM automations for scalability and resilience. Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design and management of scalable solutions and processes for the CRM marketing team, ensuring synchronous composition of messages across multiple channels, utilizing languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and SQL.
  • Implement agile development methodologies to maintain content accuracy and rendering quality across various email platforms and devices.
  • Partner with the CRM Engineering Team to build and sustain a highly personalized component library, enabling the CRM Data Science Team to capture precise and standardized metadata for effective measurement and retargeting.
  • Collaborate with the CRM Analytics Team to ensure that message components and journey configurations yield the expected and standardized metadata for seamless reporting.
  • Work alongside the CRM Marketing Team to create standardized, user-friendly, and scalable message-building solutions.
  • Utilize CRM technology platforms to enable new features and data attributes for marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with fellow developers and IT professionals to oversee code and feature deployments.
  • Mentor and support development team members and marketing partners through knowledge sharing and open communication.
  • Plan and participate in project management decisions.
  • Formulate hypotheses to address issues, seek solutions, and apply industry best practices for Email, Push, and SMS to enhance the overall quality of the CRM program.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and evolving industry standards.
  • Train CRM team members on processes and best practices related to the marketing platform and other relevant applications.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing platform functionalities and operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding email development processes.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing effectively.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, are error-free, and are completed on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues.
  • Promote and implement automated processes wherever feasible.
  • Research and recommend new best practices, efficiencies, and process enhancements; establish yourself as a subject matter expert in CRM messaging features.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modular codebase design; expertise in templating languages such as Liquid, AMPScript, RPL, or JavaScript, along with experience in APIs and SQL.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with enterprise-level marketing automation platforms, such as SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, or Braze.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Braze marketing platform.
  • Over 3 years of experience in developing automated, data-driven marketing campaigns and automations (planning, building, testing, editing, and deploying).
  • Familiarity with tools such as VSCode, Dreamweaver, and GitHub.
  • A strong technical background, including knowledge of integrating various platforms and marketing channels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative, strategic mindset for identifying and resolving challenges.
  • A solution-oriented approach that positively influences team dynamics and interactions.
  • A proactive stance on identifying and resolving issues related to CRM messaging campaigns and automations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • A solid understanding of data management and database concepts.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing business cases and user stories.
  • A comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels, and tactics.
  • An organized, methodical, and detail-oriented candidate who can identify opportunities for optimization and scaling development processes, communicate complex technical concepts in a simplified manner, and stay updated with the latest trends in email marketing.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for the Senior Marketing Technologist position is between $95,000 and $152,000. The specific salary offered may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. This position is also eligible for a 401k plan and both new hire and annual equity grants.

We provide a variety of insurance options, including medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident coverage. Additional benefits include parental leave, family services, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine services, pet adoption reimbursement, employee assistance programs, and various discounts.

Non-exempt hourly employees accrue paid time off (PTO), while salaried-exempt employees enjoy unlimited PTO, subject to managerial approval. Non-exempt hourly employees in specific roles may also qualify for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Employees receive six paid holidays annually and may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in accordance with applicable state and local regulations.
