In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with both the CRM Technology and Marketing teams to innovate and refine personalization features and components, aiming to boost channel effectiveness and elevate customer experiences. Your expertise will guide critical architectural decisions and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design and management of scalable solutions and processes for the CRM marketing team, utilizing languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and SQL for data manipulation.
  • Implement agile methodologies to ensure the messaging codebase is both accurate and visually appealing across various email platforms and devices.
  • Partner with the CRM Engineering Team to develop and sustain a highly personalized component library, enabling the CRM Data Science Team to gather precise and standardized metadata for effective measurement and retargeting.
  • Collaborate with the CRM Analytics Team to guarantee that message components and journey configurations yield the expected metadata for streamlined reporting.
  • Work alongside the CRM Marketing Team to create standardized, user-friendly, and scalable messaging solutions.
  • Utilize CRM technology platforms to activate new features and data attributes for marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee code and feature releases in collaboration with fellow developers and IT personnel.
  • Mentor and support development team members and marketing partners through knowledge sharing and teamwork.
  • Engage in project planning and management activities.
  • Formulate hypotheses to address issues, explore solutions, and apply industry best practices for Email, Push, and SMS to enhance the overall quality of the CRM program.
  • Adapt to shifting business needs and industry changes.
  • Provide training and guidance to CRM team members on processes and best practices related to the marketing platform and other relevant applications.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing platform functionalities and operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of email development processes.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing effectively.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and solution-related issues.
  • Promote the development of automated processes wherever feasible.
  • Research and recommend new best practices, efficiencies, and process enhancements, establishing yourself as a subject matter expert in CRM messaging features.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and modular codebase design; experienced in templating languages such as Liquid, AMPScript, RPL, or JavaScript, with familiarity in APIs and SQL.
  • Over 6 years of experience with enterprise-level marketing automation platforms like SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, or Braze.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Braze marketing platform.
  • Proven experience in creating automated, data-driven marketing campaigns and automations.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as VSCode, Dreamweaver, and GitHub.
  • Strong technical foundation, including the integration of multiple platforms and marketing channels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative, strategic mindset.
  • Solution-oriented with a positive impact on team dynamics.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues related to CRM messaging campaigns and automations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of data management and database principles.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing business cases and user stories.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels, and tactics.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for the Senior Marketing Technologist role is competitive, influenced by various factors including relevant experience and education. This position includes eligibility for a 401k plan and an equity grant for new hires and annually.
