Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our team at Ark Behavioral Health. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing direct clinical services to clients at our Detox/Residential substance abuse treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform psychosocial evaluations and develop treatment plans and interventions appropriate to the client's needs.
  • Document all patient-related activities in a timely and professional manner, and according to agency policy and relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Provide psychotherapy for patients, families, and groups, and act as a resource for clinical and procedural expertise to other staff members.
  • Participate in clinical utilization review and interdisciplinary team sessions as needed, for the purpose of assisting in patient assessment, development and revision of treatment goals, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision rounds and consult with medical director, program manager and colleagues when clinical decisions regarding risk arise.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates proficiency in communication, observation, and written skills.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of Drug-free Workplace Policies.
  • Knowledge of Addiction Issues, co-occurring disorders, and the 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Patient care charts and patient histories.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and their family.
  • Emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose including First Aid and CPR.
  • Experience working with addiction in a residential and/or intensive outpatient milieu.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in drug and alcohol treatment.
  • LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, LPCC, LISW, LPC, LSW OR License Eligible related human services field.
  • Bachelors Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.
