Position Summary:
The role involves daily responsibilities in the production and assembly of products manufactured in-house. The individual will be accountable for utilizing resources efficiently to create products that fulfill or surpass customer expectations, assessed through delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication Duties:
- Engage in various production processes, including laser cutting, turret operations, shearing, cutting, forming, punching, press braking, or welding, while prioritizing quality and safety.
- Ensure effective communication across departments to maintain workflow and foster collaboration among team members.
- Contribute to 5S initiatives within the Fabrication Department by identifying areas for improvement.
- Adhere to documentation protocols for each fabrication process, ensuring that work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines are up-to-date.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience:
- One to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience. Experience in the specific department is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
- To excel in this position, an individual must effectively perform each essential function. The requirements listed represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other quality assurance devices.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical documentation, and safety regulations. Capable of writing reports and effectively presenting information to team members and supervisors.
- Aptitude for solving practical problems and managing various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret a range of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Technical Proficiency:
- To succeed in this role, an individual should be familiar with and capable of using internal software systems, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, inventory management, manufacturing applications, communication tools, and internet resources.
