Position Overview

The Territory Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in assisting our government accounts division within BD's UCC Federal Healthcare Markets. This position involves crafting strategic business plans for accounts, fostering relationships, showcasing products, and meeting essential business objectives, including revenue enhancement and increased customer satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with nursing leaders, physicians, supply chain personnel, contract managers, customer service teams, marketing professionals, medical affairs, case managers, and other influential decision-makers as they guide patients from hospital care to home support.

This role will focus on the Southern California/Rockies Region, which encompasses Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth to surpass established revenue targets within designated accounts.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify growth opportunities with existing customers in government sectors.
  • Establish and nurture sustainable strategic business relationships with key accounts and influential urologists.
  • Collaborate with local VA facilities to enhance sales of the urology product portfolio.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide customer education as needed.
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual plans aimed at exceeding territory revenue goals.
  • Effectively engage with care support teams to provide comprehensive service to patients and healthcare partners.
  • Work in tandem with various team members, including Government Account Managers and Clinical Solutions Managers.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical knowledge within relevant disease states.
  • Exhibit excellence in territory management and account development.
  • Manage expenses within budgetary constraints and adhere to company policies.
  • Foster open and productive communication with the sales support team and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account information.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the medical device sector.
  • Experience in government or military environments is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Results-oriented, collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to navigate and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
  • Strategic thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required.
  • Must be able to pass government vendor credentialing requirements.

Additional Requirements:

  • Residence within the assigned territory is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Compliance with customer access requirements, including drug screenings.
