Athletic Fundraising Associate

Job Overview:

The Athletic Fundraising Associate will deliver a high level of administrative assistance to two to three fundraisers within the Sports Foundation. This role is integral in supporting fundraising initiatives related to endowment strategies and capital project planning for athletics. The Associate will manage a variety of administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to, coordinating meetings and travel, ensuring accurate recording of gifts and pledges, preparing high-level correspondence, maintaining proposal pipelines, filing, phone coverage, conducting research, and providing event support. Additionally, this position will offer technical and logistical assistance to the fundraising team and handle various information technology tasks.

Location:
This position is based in a dynamic environment focused on advancing athletic programs.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in fields such as fundraising, development, sales, customer relations, higher education, or administration.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with audio/visual and presentation tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint).


Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience in higher education, fundraising, or non-profit sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, FileMaker Pro).
