Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Brown University team as a Development Associate, Brown University Sports Foundation. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the Sports Foundation fundraisers, as well as contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Sports Foundation fundraisers, including meeting and travel arrangements, gift and pledge recording, and high-level correspondence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and events, including proposal pipeline maintenance, research, and event support.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with other development associates and fundraising staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders to support fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, such as fundraising, development, sales, customer relations, higher education, and administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient with audio/visual and presentation platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a higher education, fundraising, or non-profit setting.
  • Strong project/time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability with computer software programs, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as knowledge of BSR Advance and Blackbaud.
