About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of our students. As a Nurse Practitioner or Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting students with minor illnesses and injuries, and referring cases for advanced treatment as needed.
  • Dispensing medication and providing medical treatment under the guidelines of the medical providers' standing orders.
  • Processing and reviewing medical records in accordance with department of health and university regulations.
  • Recording patients' complaints, performing assessments, treatments, and referring for treatment outside the university as needed.
  • Documenting student visits and contacts to track the frequency of visits and illnesses for trend analysis.
  • Assisting with educational programs that teach students about health-related matters and promote healthy practices on campus.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an associate's degree or completion of an equivalent formal training program.
  • Experience working in nursing.
  • A registered nurse's license.
