We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Alumni Leadership Associate to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of our various leadership councils, boards, committees, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director in managing our leadership communities, including outreach and engagement, data tracking and management, and information and communication technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the department and the University, including colleagues in Development, the Office of the President, and academic departments and schools.
- Work closely with volunteers and volunteer leaders within our constituency, including members of the President's Leadership and Advisory Councils, members of the Brown Alumni Association, and officers of our classes, alumni clubs, and affinity groups.
- Play a meaningful role in bringing our Alumni Leadership strategy to fruition and provide invaluable insight and counsel on our leadership communities.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field such as development, volunteer management, alumni programming, event planning and support, etc.
- Demonstrated experience and success in project coordination and event planning.
- Experience in alumni relations, higher education, or non-profit environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), including experience/ability to identify and emphasize diverse perspectives in programming, communications, and strategy.
- Ability to apply tact and maintain confidentiality. Customer-focused, customer service orientation.
- Comfort in dealing with a wide range of University constituencies.
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent professional, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working in a team environment is essential.
- Initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
