Job Summary

Brown University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to serve as a Dean's Coordinator for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This role will provide high-level coordination of the Dean's activities for the School of Engineering and serve as the central liaison between the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and faculty, students, staff, and other internal and external constituents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage numerous administrative functions, including:
    • Managing the Associate Dean's special projects
    • Coordinating events, meetings, agendas, and committee arrangements
    • Supporting initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Plan, staff, and support events sponsored by the Dean's office in support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Utilize advanced interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years' experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Prior executive-level project management or administrative experience preferred

    • Experience with computerized systems (i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Office software, etc.)
    • Proficiency with Zoom and other virtual video conference platforms
