We are currently seeking a Grant Contract Manager to oversee the management of federal funding aimed at strengthening public health infrastructure and workforce capabilities. This role is essential in ensuring that our initiatives align with the objectives of our funding sources and effectively address community health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on the execution of funded initiatives that enhance public health infrastructure and workforce development, ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are clearly defined and meet grant requirements.
  • Lead the review and improvement of contract-related documents, including requests for proposals and scopes of work, in collaboration with subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Ensure that procurement processes for programs are compliant with grant specifications and allowable expenditures, adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to manage competitive bidding processes, facilitating communication and information sharing to support successful outcomes.
  • Offer ongoing programmatic and administrative support to funded initiatives, providing updates, guidance, and identifying potential challenges and solutions.
  • Ensure that grant progress reports and deliverables accurately reflect the organization's achievements in meeting funding goals.
  • Document procurement and contracting processes related to grants, recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as part of the Incident Command System (ICS) during public health crises.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of three years of experience in high-level coordination or leadership within health or medical programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in grant development and reporting, along with a solid understanding of contracting and financial principles.
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of collaborating effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in public health or healthcare sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with government agencies and knowledge of fiscal policies at the city and federal levels is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize grant management systems.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:

This position is grant-funded and requires the individual to reside within the designated region. Flexibility to work outside of standard hours during emergencies is expected.
