We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Grant Contract Manager. This position plays a vital role in managing federal funding aimed at strengthening public health infrastructure and workforce capabilities.
Position Summary:
The Grant Contract Manager will report directly to the Director of Grants Management and will oversee the effective administration of federal grants focused on public health enhancements. This includes providing comprehensive programmatic and administrative support for various initiatives, ensuring that all projects align with funding objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the execution of funded initiatives that bolster public health infrastructure and workforce development, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are well-defined and meet grant specifications.
- Lead the review and refinement of contract-related documents, including requests for proposals and scopes of work, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Ensure that procurement processes align with grant parameters and allowable expenditures, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage competitive bidding processes, facilitating communication between stakeholders throughout the bidding cycle.
- Provide ongoing support to funded programs, offering guidance, setting expectations, and identifying potential challenges and solutions.
- Prepare grant progress reports and other documentation that accurately reflect the organization's achievements in meeting funding goals.
- Document procurement and contracting processes, recommending improvements for efficiency in project initiation and execution.
- Participate in emergency response efforts as part of the Incident Command System.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in health program coordination.
- Demonstrated expertise in grant development and reporting, along with a solid understanding of contracting and financial principles.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in public health or healthcare settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with government agencies and fiscal policies is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and utilize grant management systems.
