The primary objective is to play a vital role within the Commercial Lines team, collaborating with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, Client Service Specialists, and other agency personnel to ensure exceptional service delivery to our commercial clientele.

This position requires the development of professional relationships with clients, insurance providers, and agency staff to sustain accounts and foster a positive working atmosphere.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Maintain accurate and consistent client files within the Agency Management System; responsible for thorough documentation and effective communication in line with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.

Draft professional business correspondence through letters, emails, and other means. Capable of performing accounting-related tasks including invoicing, premium allocation, and other necessary functions.

Monitor claims as per agency protocols. Relay claims information to relevant parties within the agency and keep claims data current in the system. Provide guidance and support to clients in coordination with claims processes.

Engage effectively with others by employing strong communication skills, collaborating purposefully, and offering information and guidance as necessary to meet the company's objectives.

Participate in client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management when requested. Assist colleagues in addressing client inquiries or processing tasks as needed. Oversee the daily management of client accounts, which includes policy reviews, updates, contract assessments for certificate processing, preparing renewal documents, marketing and negotiating insurance programs, filing surplus lines, and reviewing leases and financial statements pertinent to the client's insurance.

Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service and follow-up for the insured.
Advise clients on coverage and exposure, recommending and securing additional coverage as required.

Proactively seek referrals from the existing client base to identify new business opportunities; follow up to generate new business utilizing a prospect database and automation systems.

Build strong relationships with insurance company partners, maintaining knowledge of carrier requirements and attributes.
Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm, business segment, and processes. Escalate issues and discrepancies to the appropriate leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.

Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn additional relevant insurance company and firm software programs.

Demonstrate alignment with the firm's core values, showcasing behavior that reflects the corporate culture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


Maintain a state insurance license(s) as mandated by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm operates (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment). A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager capacity.
