The objective is to play a vital role within the Commercial Lines division, collaborating with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, Client Service Specialists, and other team members to provide exceptional service to our commercial clientele.

This position involves cultivating professional relationships with clients, insurance providers, and agency staff to sustain accounts and foster a positive work atmosphere.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ensure client records are maintained accurately within the Agency Management System; responsible for proper documentation and communication in line with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.

Draft professional business communications through letters, emails, and other formats. Capable of executing accounting functions including invoicing, premium distribution, and other necessary tasks.

Oversee claims as per agency protocols. Relay claims information to relevant parties within the agency and keep claims data current in the system. Provide guidance and support to clients in collaboration with claims.

Engage effectively with colleagues by employing strong communication skills, cooperating intentionally, and offering information and assistance as needed to achieve organizational objectives.

Participate in client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management, as requested. Support team members in addressing client inquiries or processing tasks when necessary. Manage daily operations of client accounts, including policy reviews, modifications, contract assessments for certificate processing, preparing renewal documentation, marketing and negotiating insurance solutions, filing surplus lines, and reviewing leases and financial statements related to client insurance.

Assist clients with inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service and follow-up for the insured.
Advise clients on coverage and risk exposure, recommending and securing additional coverage as required.

Proactively seek referrals from the existing client base to generate new business opportunities; follow up to cultivate new prospects using the prospect database and automation systems.

Develop strong partnerships with insurance company representatives, ensuring familiarity with carrier requirements and characteristics.
Identify opportunities for enhancing the firm, business segment, and operational processes. Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn other relevant insurance company and firm software applications.

Demonstrate alignment with the firm's core values, showcasing behavior that reflects the corporate culture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


Maintain a state insurance license(s) as mandated by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm operates (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment). A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager capacity.
