Job Summary

Mr. Crane Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition
    • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
    • Conduct all new hire employee orientations and facilitate onboarding processes, including offer letter generation, screenings, credentialing, I-9 & E-Verify, onboarding paperwork, and required trainings.
    • Administer background check processes, including managing adverse actions.
    • Partner with Hiring Managers, IT, Safety, and other necessary departments to ensure all equipment and tools are ordered/provided to new hires.
  • Performance Management & Employee Relations
    • Support performance review processes, providing guidance to supervisors and employees.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
    • Partner with the HR Director to provide support to employees in various HR-related topics, such as employee concerns, conflicts, grievances, leaves, and compensation. Provide resolution or escalate as needed.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
    • Address employee inquiries related to benefits and assist with open enrollment processes, partner with benefits brokers on more difficult issues.
  • HR Policies, Procedures & Compliance
    • Assist in developing and communicating HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Manage compliance and support with preparation of Annual state and federal HR Reports (ACA, EEO, 109, etc.).
    • Manage and maintain job descriptions.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain process/standard workflow.
  • Process status changes and terminations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Current and valid Driver's License required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate HR records and databases.
