Senior Employee Relations Specialist at Chapman University:

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist is essential in providing support to the Employee Relations and Equal Opportunity divisions, primarily focusing on Employee Relations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate intake services and provide general information regarding disciplinary procedures.
  • Assist in managing conduct-related conflicts.
  • Support various departments with complaints, investigations, and performance management activities.
  • Oversee disciplinary processes, conduct exit interviews, and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Maintain records and generate reports on investigations and incidents.
  • Assist in the delivery of training workshops on HR-related subjects.
  • Contribute to special projects and other HR initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of progressive experience in handling sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Expertise in HR management within a multifaceted organizational environment.
  • Ability to provide counsel on employee relations and effectively manage challenging situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion is essential.
