HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator remains informed about changes in employment legislation and organizational policies, procedures, and programs. This role may involve responsibilities across various functional areas including departmental growth, employee relations, external training and development initiatives. The HR Coordinator may assist in managing employee health benefits and must possess a solid understanding of employment laws and practices. A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as a primary contact for employees, addressing inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Provide guidance to employees and managers on employee relations issues, ensuring equity and consistency.
· Conduct comprehensive, impartial investigations in response to employee complaints or allegations of policy breaches.
· Support recruitment activities including posting and tracking job openings, screening candidates, and presenting suitable candidates to hiring managers. Follow up with candidates and hiring managers regarding offer letters.
· Assist with pre-employment and post-employment background checks, ensuring they are completed within specified timelines.
· Facilitate the onboarding process, including launching onboarding initiatives, tracking pre-employment documentation, providing necessary documents for employee records, and offering additional administrative support as required.
· Conduct orientation and training sessions as necessary. Aid new operations in developing and implementing tracking systems for post-employment training, background checks, performance evaluations, and other compliance requirements.
· Ensure accurate entry of timecards and communicate with team leaders and employees regarding any missing times.
· Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
· Serve as the main contact for employee timesheets, payroll, and benefits inquiries.
· Review timesheets for bi-weekly payroll processing and liaise with employees/managers to ensure all employee time is accurately recorded before payroll is finalized.
· Assist with holiday and special event planning.
· Maintain employee confidentiality and safeguard payroll operations by keeping all sensitive information secure.
· Additional duties may be assigned to fulfill business needs.
Human Resource Coordinator, (Staffing Sector)
