Position Summary: The DCCC is actively seeking individuals for the role of Community Engagement Coordinator to support state coordinated campaigns in competitive congressional races. The primary responsibility of the Coordinator will be to recruit, train, and manage volunteers, thereby enhancing the volunteer network and implementing various voter outreach strategies aimed at mobilizing voters for Democratic candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage, and train volunteers for direct voter engagement activities, including door-to-door canvassing, high-traffic canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing.
  • Organize a diverse range of visibility events to inform voters about the election and inspire potential volunteers to participate in the campaign.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and phase-specific goals for capacity building and voter outreach in your designated district while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Build strong relationships with local party leaders, grassroots organizers, and influential activists.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • No prior organizing experience is necessary.
  • Ability to reside and work in-person within the assigned congressional district.
  • Dedication to supporting the election of Democratic candidates.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and effectively solve problems under pressure.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence, including the ability to engage meaningfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proactive in creating an inclusive atmosphere and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proven skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of staff.

Annual Salary: Salary specifics determined by each state coordinated campaign.
