About Us:
The Education and Community Engagement division at the Seattle Symphony is focused on enhancing access to opportunities and improving the well-being of communities in the Puget Sound area and beyond. We strive to build relationships through a variety of initiatives, including family and school programs, community concerts, and collaborations with nonprofit organizations.
Position Overview:
The Administrative Coordinator for Education & Community Engagement will be instrumental in facilitating the daily functions of the Education & Community Engagement Division. This role encompasses the coordination of various initiatives, logistical assistance, and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
- Work alongside division staff to manage reservations and communications with educational institutions and community partners
- Maintain current departmental calendars and resources
- Provide assistance for all Education & Community Engagement initiatives
Program & Event Coordination
- Support logistical arrangements for events and initiatives
- Organize volunteers and materials for programs and meetings
- Facilitate ticket distribution to community partner organizations
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in college with Work Study eligibility
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily office-based responsibilities
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, and reaching
- Occasional lifting and climbing stairs may be necessary
