The Education and Community Engagement division at the Seattle Symphony is focused on expanding access to opportunities and improving the quality of life for communities in the Puget Sound area and beyond. We are dedicated to building connections through a diverse array of initiatives, including family and educational programs, community performances, and collaborations with nonprofit organizations.

Position Overview:

The Administrative Coordinator for Education & Community Engagement will be instrumental in facilitating the everyday functions of the Education & Community Engagement Division. This role encompasses the coordination of various initiatives, logistical assistance, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support

  • Work closely with team members on scheduling and communication with educational institutions and community collaborators
  • Maintain up-to-date departmental calendars and resources
  • Provide comprehensive support for all Education & Community Engagement initiatives

Program & Event Coordination

  • Assist in organizing logistics for events and programs
  • Coordinate volunteers and materials for various initiatives and meetings
  • Manage ticket distribution to partner organizations within the community

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a college program with Work Study eligibility
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based responsibilities
  • Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, and reaching
  • Occasional lifting and navigating stairs may be necessary
