Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Continuous Improvement Manager to enhance our operational framework. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in spearheading initiatives that focus on boosting operational productivity, minimizing expenses, and refining processes. This position demands a strategic mindset coupled with robust analytical capabilities, essential for pinpointing improvement opportunities, executing best practices, and nurturing a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Driving Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Formulate and execute strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate projects across various departments.
  • Employ Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses to address operational challenges.

Inventory Management:

  • Supervise inventory management processes to maximize efficiency and enhance distribution center throughput.
  • Establish inventory control protocols to improve accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

Leadership and Team Collaboration:

  • Guide cross-departmental teams in process enhancement projects.
  • Educate and mentor personnel on continuous improvement practices and methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Performance Metrics and Analysis:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of improvement initiatives.
  • Compile and present regular updates on project progress, performance metrics, and cost savings.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in manufacturing, inventory management, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement best practices to uphold high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement capacity within a manufacturing or distribution context.
  • Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement projects from inception through execution and monitoring in a dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Proven capability to lead and manage change initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve light work, including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. The position requires regular walking, standing, and sitting, along with frequent reaching and grasping using hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks involving distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Regular communication is essential.
