Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned SIOP and Merchandise Analytics Manager to enhance our operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in optimizing the customer journey by ensuring product availability aligns with demand. This role encompasses leading the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) framework, ensuring that supply chain functions are in sync with corporate goals. A strategic mindset, coupled with robust analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of ECOM and distribution sales practices, is essential for success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Employ advanced analytical methodologies to scrutinize supply chain data and derive actionable insights.
  • Compile and deliver periodic reports on performance metrics, demand forecasts, and SIOP indicators.
  • Create and sustain dashboards for real-time insights into SIOP-related performance.
  • Develop scenario modeling to provide insights into opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implement elasticity modeling to guide pricing strategies that align with business objectives and enhance profitability.

Merchandise Operations (Category Management and Inventory Planning):

  • Formulate and support strategies for optimizing product assortment selections.
  • Analyze merchandise trends to accurately forecast demand and guarantee product availability.
  • Track and report critical metrics, including GMROI, customer fill rates, service levels, vendor performance, turnover rates, stockouts, and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supply planning, production, and distribution teams to synchronize inventory levels with operational requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to address inventory challenges and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Articulate inventory strategies and SIOP initiatives to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the supply chain division.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing processes within inventory management and SIOP functions.
  • Adopt best practices and innovative solutions to boost supply chain performance.
  • Lead or contribute to supply chain projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction.

SIOP Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the SIOP process, ensuring effective collaboration among sales, operations, and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with category management, supply planning, production, and distribution teams to align inventory levels with operational needs.
  • Conduct monthly SIOP meetings, presenting data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the SIOP process to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading SIOP processes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite, SLIM, NetStock).
  • Robust problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: This role involves lifting up to 20 pounds at a time, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Regular walking, standing, and sitting are required, along with frequent reaching and/or grasping using hands and/or arms. The position necessitates frequent use of hands for tasks such as using a telephone, computer keyboard, or other objects. Visual acuity is required, including distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Regular communication is necessary.
