Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Leader is tasked with the identification, planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain processes, with a focus on refining existing operations and integrating external services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Focus on waste reduction by engaging team members in crafting solutions to operational challenges.
  • Identify minor enhancements in processes and products to boost quality and minimize waste.
  • Utilize a metrics-based approach to consistently evaluate and enhance organizational performance.
  • Identify organizational inefficiencies that impede productivity and propose actionable improvements.
  • Map, assess, and redesign internal workflows to improve efficiency and achieve superior outcomes.
  • Ensure the effective execution of improvement strategies through established timelines and action plans.
  • Align improvement initiatives with corporate objectives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Present recommendations for enhancements to management for review and input.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological innovations, and best practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison for continuous improvement between the Business Office and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement standards, company policies, and strategic objectives.
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement with a focus on process enhancement.
  • Prior experience in related positions within the aviation or aerospace manufacturing sector is preferred.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional writing and presentation capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Teamcenter is advantageous.
  • Self-driven with strong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and sound business acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and present data effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular exposure to equipment noise, temperature variations, dust, and aircraft-related odors.
  • Capability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and lift items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Commitment to working safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols while communicating effectively in Business English.
