Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Leader is tasked with the crucial role of identifying, strategizing, executing, and overseeing initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain processes, with a keen focus on refining current operations and integrating external services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate collaboration among internal teams and external partners to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Emphasize waste reduction by engaging team members in crafting solutions to operational challenges.
  • Identify and pursue incremental enhancements in processes and products to elevate quality and minimize waste.
  • Adopt a metrics-based approach to consistently evaluate and enhance organizational performance.
  • Identify and address operational gaps that impede productivity, proposing actionable improvements.
  • Map, scrutinize, and redesign internal workflows to boost efficiency and achieve superior outcomes.
  • Guarantee the effective execution of improvement initiatives through well-defined schedules and action item tracking.
  • Implement strategies for improvement that align with corporate objectives for operational efficiency.
  • Present improvement proposals for management evaluation and constructive feedback.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, technological innovations, and best practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison for continuous improvement efforts between the Business Office and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement standards, corporate policies, and strategic objectives.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement with a proven ability to drive process improvements.
  • Prior experience in similar roles within the aviation or aerospace manufacturing sector is preferred.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Exceptional writing and presentation capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of SAP and Teamcenter considered advantageous.
  • Self-driven with strong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and sound business acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and present data effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular exposure to equipment noise, temperature variations, dust, and aircraft-related odors.
  • Capability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and lift items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Commitment to working in a safe and regulatory-compliant manner.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols while communicating effectively in Business English.
