PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The role is integral to advancing Fresenius Medical Care's mission, vision, core values, and commitment to exceptional customer service. Compliance with Fresenius Medical Care's regulatory framework and policy standards is paramount.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Vice President will:

  • Steer the growth and profitability of the Division Group through strategic foresight, effective leadership, and decisive management, ensuring alignment with Fresenius Medical Services and Fresenius Medical Care's overarching strategies and objectives.
  • Formulate a strategic blueprint to enhance the company's mission and objectives, fostering revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth.
  • Oversee the overall direction of the assigned division's business, translating the global vision of FMC into actionable division plans.
  • Direct the establishment of both short- and long-term objectives, policies, budgets, and operational plans for the division, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Manage all facets of customer service, ensuring quality patient care, effective marketing of services, and prudent fiscal management.
  • Maximize returns on invested capital while directing divisional financial and budgetary activities to support operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Review and implement corporate growth strategies and personnel initiatives, collaborating on clinic loss mitigation efforts.
  • Lead the operational organization and management of the designated FMS geography.
  • Oversee Group operations, ensuring efficiency and quality of services through effective management of the Group Vice President of Operations.
  • Conduct regular business and quality review meetings at various organizational levels.
  • Drive growth and cost efficiency within the Group, aligned with annual performance targets.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Strategic Development and other business development teams to refine the Group's strategic plan and achieve set objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential Joint Venture and merger opportunities, directing activities as necessary.
  • Act as the division's representative to customers, the financial community, and the public, fostering strong relationships with physician practices.
  • Provide guidance to divisional support functions, including Quality, Education, and Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with ESRD-related regulatory requirements through continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate exposure to legal challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and corporate standards across operational, service provision, financial, and personnel management domains.
  • Facilitate the development of the Division Management team through coaching, training, and succession planning.
  • Promote effective communication within the division, leading sessions to ensure information is appropriately disseminated.

SUPERVISION:

This position may involve direct supervision of various operational and strategic development staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role, either internally or externally.
  • Proven experience managing multiple departments.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to foster cohesive and productive teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all management levels.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
