ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of the hemodialysis healthcare team, you will:

  • Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Participate in patient care implementation and evaluation.
  • Document all incidents, information, and patient care activities accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Drive the FMCNA culture through values and exceptional customer service. Build and maintain effective relationships through timely communication and proactive problem-solving.

PATIENT CARE:

Deliver direct patient care, perform technical dialysis procedures, and monitor treatment parameters. Educate patients and families about renal disease, dialysis therapy, and related topics.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely operate dialysis equipment, ensure a sanitary environment, and respond effectively to emergencies.

STAFF COLLABORATION:

Participate in staff meetings, assist in care plan coordination, and engage in ongoing education related to dialysis practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position involves desk work, patient interaction, and requires physical stamina for lifting and moving patients. Frequent travel between facilities is necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program with current state licensure. One year of medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred. Hemodialysis and ICU experience are advantageous but not mandatory.

SKILLS:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Candidates must meet specific color vision requirements and complete necessary training upon hire.
