Main Purpose of the Role:

Drive profitable business growth for ZIM by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities within a designated portfolio of customers. Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, manage the sales process, and build strong relationships with key customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the sales process to maximize short and long-term results, including needs analysis, solution design, and negotiation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, identifying areas of growth and potential opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to increase share of wallet, including cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key customers, qualifying their sales potential and planning activities to increase sales.
  • Stay up-to-date on market analysis, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with trade and cross-functional teams to share market intelligence, service updates, and customer challenges.
  • Develop and maintain account plans, including short and medium-term forecasts, growth potential, and proposed steps for growth.
  • Forecast sales activities and set personal and company goals accordingly.
Requirements:

Academic education in Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, or International Negotiation is preferred. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably in FFW/NVOCC/shipping. Sales account management experience and proficiency in MS Office are also preferred.

Excellent control of the local language and good control of English language (speaking, reading, and writing) are required.
