Patient Care Assistant

Position Overview:
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for executing assigned routine and predictable patient care tasks under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN).
This role encompasses various responsibilities, including but not limited to performing EKGs, monitoring vital signs, assisting with basic patient care, and facilitating patient transportation.
Patient Interaction:
The PCA is expected to respond effectively to patients and their families, demonstrating an understanding of age-specific needs in accordance with the unit or department's service scope.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification sufficient for the role.
- California Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital or post-acute care setting.
