Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Financial Patient Advocate engages directly with patients and their families, providing essential support through various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the resolution of patient accounts by managing financial clearance and payment collection.
- Assist in identifying eligibility for various financial assistance programs, including State and Federal sponsorships.
- Educate patients on their options and guide them through the application process for financial support.

Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or clinic.
- Proven track record of at least three years in a similar role, ideally within Providence St. Joseph Health or its affiliates.
- Experience with computerized account follow-up systems, preferably Epic.

Preferred:
- Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes and insurance terminology.
