Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Sales Engineer to join our team. This role will be based in our office and involves providing expert consultation on HVAC, piping, and electrical systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to identify and propose solutions for repair and retrofit opportunities, emphasizing financial and energy-efficient alternatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate, design, and promote mechanical project solutions for retrofitting, repairs, and replacements.
  • Foster relationships with current clients while collaborating effectively with management and the sales team.
  • Utilize expertise to develop HVAC system solutions tailored to client needs, incorporating financial and performance considerations; proactively reach out to potential clients.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and identify key customer accounts for growth.
  • Continuously assess customer needs and market opportunities; coordinate with the sales team as necessary for project execution.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Transform leads into actionable opportunities by determining the best sales strategies and leading the sales process.
  • Build and maintain multiple relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Achieve a consistent rate of new sales and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management, or a related field, along with three to five years of experience in facilities or HVAC services; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping design, estimation, and sales.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical and financial acumen.
  • Interest in business development, networking, and participation in industry events.
  • Solid understanding of and enthusiasm for modern technologies.
