Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Project Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in HVAC, piping, and electrical systems to provide consultation and solutions for repair and retrofit projects, focusing on both financial and energy efficiency aspects.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate, design, and sell mechanical projects related to retrofitting, repairs, and replacements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while collaborating effectively with management and the sales team.
- Provide expert consultation on HVAC system solutions tailored to customer needs, utilizing cold calling techniques to engage new clients.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and develop strategic action plans for key accounts.
- Identify customer needs and market opportunities, coordinating the sales team as necessary for various projects.
- Recognize potential opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
- Convert leads into actionable opportunities by determining the appropriate sales strategy and leading the sales process.
- Establish multiple relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations, including facility managers and project managers.
- Achieve a satisfactory rate of new sales consistently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management, or a related field, along with three to five years of experience in facilities or HVAC services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping design, estimation, and sales.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mathematical and financial acumen.
- Interest in business development and networking within the industry.
- Solid understanding and enthusiasm for modern technologies.
