The focus will be on specialized heavy haul transportation, particularly for oversized and overweight cargo, including construction machinery, industrial equipment, and large-scale infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialized Transportation Management: This role is dedicated to the management of specialized heavy haul logistics, which involves coordinating and overseeing the transport of oversized and overweight loads. Responsibilities include securing necessary permits, planning routes that consider weight limitations and clearances, and supervising the loading and transportation processes. Close collaboration with clients, drivers, and subcontractors is essential to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

  • Service Quality Management: Oversee the carrier network to maintain high service standards and client satisfaction. Strategically align available carrier resources with open loads to optimize efficiency. Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and promptly address any transportation-related issues.
  • Expectation Alignment: Ensure that each partner carrier fully understands all client and company expectations prior to dispatch. Communicate shipment details and process instructions clearly and ensure timely responses and tracking through appropriate channels.
  • Data Management and Technology Use: Effectively navigate internal and external TMS and related technology tools to ensure all transactions and documentation are accurately recorded and compliant with company policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align carrier capacity with customer demands and operational objectives. Maintain effective communication with colleagues across shifts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall logistics and sales functions.
